Ian is a U.S. Air Force veteran who deployed during Desert Storm with a provisional intelligence unit. Depression, anxiety, and PTSD are part of his daily reality, and WarBeard Project gives him a voice to tell other veterans they are never alone.
The pink mohawk started with April. While going through chemotherapy for breast cancer, she lost her hair. Ian planned to shave his head in support, then decided a bald guy with a great beard might not say enough. The pink mohawk became a visible sign of solidarity, then a trademark for the project.
A portion of each sale is donated directly to veteran outreach programs that help veterans get outside, active, and connected. The goal is simple and hard: keep working until 22 is none.
What The Brand Stands For
WarBeard is raw because the mission is raw. It is apparel for people who have been through hard things, still have a sense of humor, and want what they wear to mean something.
